Festa Għeneb 2025

Festa Għeneb 2025 focused on giving a long-established village festa a clear, coherent visual identity that could operate consistently across the physical space of Siġġiewi and extend seamlessly into digital and social media contexts.

Context

After more than ten years of organic growth, Festa Għeneb had developed into a complex, multi-zone event, but its visual communication had become fragmented. The 2025 edition sought to elevate the festa by introducing clarity, legibility, and consistency, without distancing it from its agricultural and communal roots.

Fit & Intent

Joeaby was responsible for the brand and graphic design of Festa Għeneb 2025. The aim was to create a unified visual system that could support navigation, information, and recognition on site and online, while remaining familiar and approachable to a broad public.

Direction

A restrained identity was developed, centred on a simplified grape motif, a limited colour palette, and clear typographic hierarchy. The system was applied across all physical assets, including wayfinding maps, signage, menus, banners, tasting notes, and stall graphics, ensuring the event could be navigated intuitively within the village.

The same visual language was carried into social media and promotional templates, allowing the festa to be immediately identifiable across platforms and reinforcing continuity before, during, and after the event.

Outcome

The project brought coherence to a busy cultural event, improving legibility and recognition without altering its character. By treating design as both spatial infrastructure and digital signal, Festa Għeneb 2025 demonstrated how thoughtful branding can quietly strengthen the presence and longevity of a community-led tradition.
